I went looking for a French terrycloth sweatshirt after purchasing one that my brewery put out, so that I could work in it. Despite it being dark grey I hiked in it all summer in the high alpine. It breathes differently because it’s a woven/knit material that’s not knapped on one side to make that soft inside of most sweatshirts. This is similar to terrycloth but not nearly as thick and has a t shirt feel to the outside (think fancy French mesh that’s not see through) Well I found the perfect one because I also hunt, this is going to be perfect to keep the sun back- and after a little perspiration- the heat back. Even when it was 90+ degrees out I would sometimes have to expose some of my skin in order to warm up as any breeze can lower the garment by tens of degrees. Which is perfect! You sweat less and stay cool so you can perform better and use less calories. The fit is great, and I like the straight hem on the bottom which can cause a conventionally ribbed hem to ride up while wearing a backpack. Large hood but I’d rather have it that way, the drawstrings work well. I do like them in white, but will probably dye them while hunting . I ordered a medium and might have gotten a small, but it’ll work.
